P01 - ADERANT Expert Product Strategy and Development Plans  
Gain a better understanding of the strategy driving ADERANT Expert and learn about ADERANT's current and future development plans for its integrated business management application suite. This session will review ADERANT’s ongoing development activities; introduce planned deliverables, including Expert Analytics Foundation and the workflow 'Golden Gate' Release; and, discuss future development activities, including Titan, the next-generation release of ADERANT Expert.


P07 - Expert Analytics Foundation: Using Business Intelligence to Improve Firm Profitability  
This session introduces users to the latest version ADERANT's business intelligence tool: Expert Analytics Foundation. Expert Analytics Foundation is a comprehensive data warehouse and single OLAP cube that provides firms with a comprehensive view of their operations as well as a robust infrastructure for reporting, analysis, and business intelligence. Attendees will be introduced to Expert Analytics Foundation's key capabilities and see how it can be used to deliver financial metrics through Microsoft Excel, OLAP viewers, and Microsoft SharePoint.

P10 - Empowering Fee Earners and Managing Matters with Expert Matter Center  
Looking for ways to enhance productivity and collaboration? Need better methods to manage all matter-related documents, tasks, and emails? This session will show how Expert Matter Center provides Partners and front office staff a tool for servicing their book of business. Attendees will see how firms  are managing  matters, document templates, tasks and activities, and even emails with Expert Matter Center. The session will also show how this functionality has been seamlessly embedded in the Microsoft Office applications used by lawyers every day.

P13 - CEO / CIO & CFO Roundtable - Current Challenges  
The session will be a an open forum involving some of the Legal industries leading CIO’s & CFO’s and ADERANT SME’s as they discuss a number of the key technology and business challenges confronting today’s law firms including: Operational Challenges; Systems Integration Issues; Responding to increasing fee pressure and reporting requirements from clients; Firm expectation of Software vendors; and Managing firm growth along with market uncertainty.

P19 - CEO / CIO & CFO Roundtable – Future Strategies  
The session will be a an open forum involving some of the Legal industries leading CIO’s & CFO’s and ADERANT SME’s as they discuss a number of the key technology and business challenges confronting today’s law firms including: Data in the Cloud; Server Virtualization Strategy; Microsoft increasing footprint; and Software & Services.


FINANCIAL

P02 - Unravelling the Mystery of the General Ledger Map 
This session will help attendees gain a better understanding of the 'mystery' of your ADERANT Expert General Ledger Map. Just where do the debits and credits come from? Having a solid understanding of your firm’s GL Map is critical to understanding your firm’s financial results. Topics covered will include what should be mapped; how to map a transaction; the role of the Chart of Accounts and its settings; where exceptions can be made to your map; how to research transactions; and, how to make General Ledger Mapping changes in your environment.

P05 - ADERANT Expert Features You Aren’t Using (But Should!)
Want to learn about some exciting features of ADERANT Expert that have been around for awhile but that you haven’t tried (or even knew existed)? This session will show attendees the favourite applications, features and tricks of ADERANT professionals that can help you save time.

P08 - Introduction to Workflow: Expert File Opening  
Learn about Expert File Opening, ADERANT's first application to leverage the capabilities of Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0's powerful Windows Workflow Foundation programming model, workflow engine, and tools. Available in ADERANT Expert 'Golden Gate' Release, Expert File Opening will provide law firms with industry-standard embedded workflow functionality to streamline and automate their file opening process.

P11 - Fee Rates and Beyond
Is the Fee Rate Hierarchy a still mystery to you? Have you ever had problems with time not reflecting the new rates? In this session attendees will: learn how to review the Fee Rate Hierarch; resolve rate issues; and, review the Fee Rate Loader utility. The session will also cover how to setup and utilise the Overtime Fee, Fees as Disbursement; Variable Fee Rate Levels, and Rate Cap features.

P14 - Expert Portal: The Launching Point for ADERANT Business Processes 
Want to create a single launch point for all your firm's critical business processes? This session will show how Expert Portal can be used to make critical firm business processes accessible through a unified Microsoft SharePoint interface. Attendees will see working examples of how various business tasks can be launched through Expert Portal, including inquiries, time entry, email, expense submission, WIP review and approval, on demand report generation, client review, and more.

P17 - ADERANT Expert Reporting Strategy: Getting the Right Information, In the Right Format, At the Right Time 
This session will show attendees how Expert Inquires, Expert Report Center, Expert Analytics Foundation, and Expert Portal, Powered by Handshake can be combined to provide law firms with a seamless Microsoft technology-based information access strategy. This session will also show how additional content from Google and news feeds can be combined with ADERANT's reporting and business intelligence solutions.

P20 - Client-Led Session: Clayton Utz and Expert Budgeting 
Hear from major firm Clayton Utz  about their firsthand experience with Expert Budgeting. This informative client-led session will cover Clayton Utz’s implementation of Expert Budgeting and highlight the benefits they have received to-date. Additionally, attendees will learn how the firm has built additional budget management reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.

P22 - ADERANT Expert 7.5 - The Billing Rules Engine
Includes extensive new capabilities to help firms manage and control their billing and e-billing activities. This session will explain ADERANT Expert’s new functionality as well as show attendees how to set up a client and matter; data map firm codes to a client code scheme; and set up and execute validation rules to ensure compliance with engagement terms; and, more.

P25 - The Future is Now! The Exciting World of ADERANT Expert Release 7.5 and Golden Gate 
Not yet on the most current version of ADERANT Expert? Come learn about the exciting new features introduced in Release 7.5 and Golden Gate.  This session will cover the objectives of each release; demonstrate the new functionality and capabilities; and provide attendees with valuable tips for the upgrade process.

TECHNICAL

P03 - ADERANT Expert Security: Keeping Your Data Safe 
How secure is you firm’s data? Find out how to leverage ADERANT Expert’s security tools to secure your firm’s applications and data. Attendees will learn how to use client/server application security to assign access to ADERANT Expert applications and functions within those applications; how to use client/server row level security to restrict access to sensitive data when necessary; and, how to use browser security features for browser activities.

P06 - Getting the Most Out of Expert Framework 
The upcoming "Golden Gate" and Titan releases of ADERANT Expert will leverage powerful new Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 technologies, such as Windows Workflow Foundation and Windows Communication Foundation. This session will show attendees how to get the most out of ADERANT Expert’s technology architecture, including what hardware and software is required as well as how to put it all together.

P09 - Building Workflows in ADERANT Expert (1): Processes and Activities 
This is the first of two sessions dedicated to helping firms better understand and use ADERANT Expert's Microsoft Windows Workflow Foundation-based embedded workflow capabilities. Attendees will learn how a workflow process is defined with managed business data and how ADERANT Expert's library of pre-built workflow functions can be leveraged in customising existing or creating new workflows.

P12 - Building Workflows in ADERANT Expert (2): User Management and Forms 
This is the second of two sessions dedicated to helping firms better understand and use ADERANT Expert's Microsoft Windows Workflow Foundation-based embedded workflow capabilities. Attendees will learn how to manage the allocation of users and teams to workflow tasks as well as how to quickly and easily build workflow task screens.

P15 - Strategies to Successfully Upgrade to ADERANT Expert Release 7.5
Where is your firm in the process of upgrading to ADERANT Expert Release 7.5? Join a team of ADERANT migration experts to find out what to expect during the migration process and learn how to make your upgrade successful. This session provides attendees with technical recommendations, shows the impact migration will have on customisations, and provides tips for managing the testing and training aspects of upgrading.

P18 - ADERANT Expert Deployment: Streamlining IT Costs and Processes
This session will show how ADERANT is leveraging Microsoft’s Windows Presentation Foundation and Windows Communication Foundation to help streamline deployment costs and processes. Attendees will learn how these Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 technologies influence ADERANT Expert deployment and customisations approaches.

P21 - DocuDraft Basics
Is DocuDraft a foreign language to you? If you want to understand how to read and customise a billing template, then this is the session for you. This session will review the components of a DocuDraft template and show how billing templates are constructed to produce the polished bills you send to your clients. This session will focus on helping attendees understand the DocuDraft language and how to use the toolkit to create header and matter summary sections in a bill format.

P23 - Customising Expert Analytics Foundation with Domain Specific Language 
This session will introduce attendees to the power and intuitive customisation model for the new Expert Analytics Foundation: Domain Specific Language, or DSL. Attendees will learn how they can easily build custom fields and tables in ADERANT Expert’s data warehouse and OLAP cube without requiring a developer.

P26 - Using Rules to Enforce Billing Terms Compliance 
This session will show attendees how they can enforce compliance of a matter’s billing engagement terms with the new billing rules feature introduced in ADERANT Expert Release 7.5. This session will cover all key aspects of the new billing rule functionality, including creating (form design and logic scripting), assigning, and executing billing rules. Examples of billing rules will also be presented.
